Bachelor of Arts: Art History and Studio Practice of Art

Graphic Design Certificate

High Schools

Bachelor of Arts, Double major in Art History and Studio Practice of Art,
August 1992. Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.

GPA 3.7 in Art History and 3.2 in Studio. Minor in Political Science.

I concentrated on Precolombian Mexico, medieval Europe, and art since 1900 in my art history work. I found art history highly rewarding, requiring deep insight and the ability to clearly visualize and enunciate complex systemic relationships.

I am also a gifted fine artist. I concentrated on drawing and new media, particularly video and performance art.

The common themes in both degrees and in my career as a new media designer are innovation, evolution, and experimentation.

Awards:
Outstanding Undergraduate in Art History, 1989-90 school year.
Nominee, Senior Achievement Award, 1989.
First Prize, Fundamentals show, 1984.
