The UW Extension's Computer Graphics Certificate program is a nine-month intensive training and education program which focuses on core competencies for graphic designers in the digital era.

The year I took it, courses covered Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, PageMaker, Quark, and file preparation and printing.

Notable instructors included Steve Broback of Thunder Lizard Productions and co-author, with Robin Williams (no, not that Robin Williams) of the recent Beyond the Little Mac Book,and Byron Canfield of Canfield Studios, the northwest's CorelDraw expert and lead designer for Jesse Berst's Anchordesk site.
